BREAKING NEWS

FRIDAY THE 13TH, FEBRUARY, 2009, DETROIT, MI, USA: Hello again loyal friends & family… Well, we are at it once again. It’s no secret that we have been playing a long game of musical chairs with our family tree. It has been quite a process getting all the right pieces to fit together. We (George and myself) have had the privilege of working with a long list of amazing players over the years, and this time is no exception. We think we’ve assembled another amazing line up, just in time to celebrate another milestone in the bands illustrious career. The 25th anniversary of our Don’t Metal With Evil record. There are dozens of reasons why line ups change, life takes many turns and no one knows what’s up ahead. Rather than dwell on why, we would just like to say a heart felt good luck to our brothers who have moved on to different ventures. In fact, we will definitely work together again in the future on many projects, I promise…

So, this brings us to now. Halloween has just made an exciting addition to our family tree. We have decided to bring 2 new players on board for 2009 and beyond. They are, J-Sin Nikou on guitar (H.M.R./Seventh Son/Hellbent) and Chris Buczek on drums (H.M.R./Overloaded/Hellbent). Both are accomplished writers and players with a long, impressive history in the Detroit metal scene. We are proud to bring them both into the family.

Now a 5 piece, (a goal we have been working toward for years), Halloween is finally back to work, working hard to finish the new record Terrortory (still being mixed & mastered by our brother Rob Brug) and preparing for the bands return to Germany to headline The Sword Brothers Festival in Andernoch in September of this year. Also appearing on the bill are metal legends Omen, Arakain, Hellish War, Thunder Rider, Enchanter, Steel Raiser, Zarpa, Barbarian and Goddess of Desire. For more info go to Sword Brothers.de. We are rehearsing material for shows here at home as well, look to see us live this summer (showing off the new team). We’ve only had 3 rehearsals, so far, and it already sounds and feels amazing. We are planning some new features to add to our stage show, and dusting off some classic Halloween songs too, (ones we haven’t played in years). We are excited about the progress and we know you’re going to love it too. We can’t wait to see you, live and in person.

Brian Thomas

Halloween is:

Chris Buczek - Drums
J-Sin Nikou - Guitar
Don Guerrier - Guitar
George Neal - Bass
Brian “T” Thomas - Vocals

Keep us on your radar…more info coming soon!!!

P.S. “DON’T METAL WITH EVIL” in its entirety “live” @ Sword Brothers. It’s gonna rock… can’t wait!!!

NEWS UPDATE

Hi everyone, it has been awhile since we posted any news concerning the band, but we have been very busy trying to get the new disc wrapped up (more on that later). There have been some changes within the band and we wanted to make sure that everything was set in stone before going public with it.

Personnel changes:

Due to a difference in artistic vision, Halloween and Donny Allen have decided to part ways. Donny has been a staple in this band for over 16 years and we love him like a brother, he will always be family and we hope the best for him.
Good luck Donny.

Mourning Sun/Night Creature guitarist extraordinaire Don Guerrier and Abandon axeslinger Shawn Moore have joined the band. After only one rehearsal with these two, we were blown away by how great it sounded, and we are very excited by the possibilities that are already starting to present themselves. We can't wait to get this new line up out for some shows, we know you will be just as blown away as we are.

Terrortorry update:

We are close to finishing up the new disc, Terrortory. The basic mix is set, the editing is almost finished, and the guitar solos are being done as we speak. There are a few really cool surprises on this disc that we know all you fans of Detroit Metal are going to love. That’s all that we can say about that for now (don’t wanna spoil the surprise). As soon as we get some of the mixes finalized, we will be putting a couple of tracks up for everyone to check out, so make sure to check back often.

We would also like to take a moment to thank you all for your support over the last 25 years. You have always been there for us and never let us down. You are the reason Halloween has been here for 25 years and will continue to forge ahead.
We hope to see you all very soon!!
Sincerely,

HALLOWEN:
Brian Thomas
George Neal
Rob Brug

Sean loved local live music, you could find him at any given night at a local nightclub supporting other great local bands too.

Benefit show..... Thank you!

On behalf of Brian Thomas, and the rest of the band, we would like to thank everyone who came out to support the benefit for Steve Pirrone. It was an incredible show to say the least. It was really nice to see Steve still be able to get up on stage and sing with Brian. The show was quite a success, and raised a lot of money for Steve and his family. But more importantly, it looks as if it put a new spark in Steve's eye once again. Keep fighting brother, we know you can still do it. We are all pullin for you!
Thanks to Digital Dan for the awesome pic.

New "News" page posted today!

Today we start our new news page. This new format "blog" style is much more efficient in getting the cutting edge news out to the public. Hopefully it will help streamline the process, and in return help us with more frequent updates.

Please do not forget this Saturday is the benefit concert at The Hayloft Liquor Stand in Mt. Clemens. Please come on out and show your support for Steve Pirrone and his family. Lets show everyone how the music community can pull together when one of our brothers is in need. Performing this night will be:
2 Days Out / Abandon / Halloween / Syrant w/ Brian Thomas as a guest vocalist.
It will truly be a night to remember. Check out the video promo that we put together for the show.

The old page is still available HERE, for those of you who would like to view the archives.
